William Hill Bingo Enters New TV Sponsorship Deal - 01-06-09

January 6 - William Hill Bingo has become the latest online bingo room to enter into an agreement with a mainstream media channel to sponsor a popular television show.

The latest announcement by William Hill Bingo stated that this year, the site would be sponsoring ITV's the Real Deal, hosted by antique dealer David Dickinson and aired on weekdays between 2 and 3 pm.

The sponsorship deal will cover the months January to April and will see William Hill Bingo promote its products through advertising and promotional material. Bumpers such as "William Hill Bingo Thrill" will be shown during breaks throughout the Real Deal, carried through by a 'thrill' theme during the show itself.

Last November, William Hill Bingo began its foray into the world of mainstream media after sponsoring the popular daytime show, Spin Star, also on ITV.

A spokesperson for William Hill Bingo, Lili Huang said about the new deal: "For an initial foray into program sponsorship, we were very pleased with the response from the Spin Star association. We're delighted to have this opportunity of sponsoring the Real Deal, because the program has the potential for a far bigger audience with its current scheduling."

It has been noted that there is an almost identical demographic typecasting between players who are drawn to the excitement of online bingo, and those who watch shows such as Spin Star and the Real Deal. William Hill Bingo has taken this fact into account when agreeing on entering a sponsorship deal with ITV daytime shows.
