Potawatomi Bingo Casino Begins Construction - 08-30-06

Cited for completion in 2008, the $240 million Potawatomi Bingo Casino expansion has begun construction in Menomonee Valley near the town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is expected to draw bingo fans as well as traditional casino fans from miles around.

The new improved Potawatomi Bingo Casino will boast over 500 000 square feet of extra entertainment space, including a new super-sized bingo hall, two new restaurants, an enormous food court, a bar/lounge, as well as six-stories of parking.

In a statement, Potawatomi Bingo Casino management said that the two-year project will create over 500 construction jobs, as well as 1000 new jobs at the casino once it has been completed.

The expansion will also double the amount of casino floor space, in effect doubling the number of slot machines to 1500 and table games to 100 making the Potawatomi Bingo Casino a force to be reckoned with.

The $240 million construction costs are over and above the $140 million that has already been invested in the casino since 1991 by its Native American tribe owners.
