European Bingo Association Launched in EU

Such is the growing popularity of land and online bingo in Europe, that a new Bingo-focused association has been launched to represent and protect the interests of bingo hall and casino operators in the EU.

One of the driving forces behind the formation of EUBingo, the Federation of European Bingo Associations, is the UK Bingo Association in association with its Spanish counterpart, Spanish Confederacion Espanola de Organizaciones de Empresarios del Juego del Bingo.

Based in Brussels, Belgium, EUBingo was officially launched by Member of European Parliament, Bill Newton Dunn at the end of last month, with objectives including the upcoming release of a comprehensive gambling study as well as infringement proceedings against national gambling monopolies.

EUBingo will be managed by co-presidents Sir Peter Fry and Jose Luis Iniesta, with the intention of recruiting other members and in so doing help create a network of bingo associations throughout the EU.
