April 24 - While the growth in popularity of online bingo is nothing new, few
seem to realize just how much mobile bingo betting is contributing to the
growth of the mobile gaming sector.
In its latest quarterly reports, Probability mobile betting operator posted
fourth quarter results that were far ahead of industry expectations. The
company's partnership with Rank, including the extension of an agreement that
allows Mecca bingo games to remain on its mobile betting platform, has
contributed greatly to Probability's impressive revenue figures.
Probability posted a 25 per cent increase in net gaming revenues, which
includes mobile bingo, in its fourth quarter of 2007. Over 63,000 new members
signed up with the mobile betting company, which is in a strong cash position.
Probability's CEO, Charles Cohen said about the pleasing results: "The second
half of 2007 has proven to be a period of transition for us. We have delivered
on a promise to become a cash-generative leader in the mobile gambling sector
and created a platform for strong, future growth."
A highlight of Probability's year came with the massive GBP 211,000 win by
one player on a mobile blackjack game. "The exceptional winning streak for a
single customer should leave no doubt that serious players can be attracted to
the mobile phone platform," he said. "Winners are the best advertisement for a
gambling business."
Probability members can also enjoy mobile bingo through the company's
partnership with News of the World, which brings players an entertaining gaming
package, that also includes casino and slots games.
